Three fire crews are at the scene of a grass fire at Cottonvale.

A Queensland Fire Service spokeswoman said one urban crew from Stanthorpe was at Halloran Dr blaze along with rural fire crews from Applethorpe and Dalveen.

A second urban crew was en route and the spokeswoman said grass was believed to be alight in a paddock.

FIREFIGHTERS have been called to a fire north of Stanthorpe.

A Queensland Fire Service spokeswoman said firefighters from Stanthorpe had been called to the incident on Halloran Dr at Cottonvale.

They received reports of a vegetation fire at 4.50pm.

One crew was en route. More details to come.
