THOUSANDS of visitors are expected to descend on the Stanthorpe 'snowgrounds' for the second day of Snowflakes in Stanthorpe.

There will be plenty of cool fun in store on Saturday, July 1.

Tickets can be purchased at the gate, or for faster entry you can buy them online or in the main street on Friday, June 30.

Gates open at the Stanthorpe Showgrounds at 9am and your ticket price includes a huge range of free activities, including the massive snowfield (including an under-eights area), on-stage entertainment, fashion parade, winter-themed movies, snow globes, face painting, climbing wall, enchanted forest, jumping castles, a petting zoo and 'snow' much more.

Wander the winter markets, indulge in the international food festival and relax in the local wine and beer marquee.

The ice skating rink will be available until 7pm at an extra cost of $20 per session, with a separate area for beginners.

As the sun sets and air chills, there is more entertainment, a fire show and bonfire with a fireworks finale at 7pm.

The String Family, James Blundell, the Haystack Mountain Hermits and Fortunato Isgro will perform along with a great range of local artists.

All the details, including online ticket sales and performance times, are online at www.snowflakes instanthorpe.com.au or follow the event on Facebook and Instagram.
