RUGBY LEAGUE: Bart McIntosh took his try tally to four in five days but it wasn't enough as the Warwick Cowboys reserve-grade side went down 36-6 to Valleys in a knockout semi in Toowoomba on Sunday.
Captain Brandon Vaughan converted McIntosh's try the Cowboys.
Valleys led 14-6 at halftime.
Cowboys president David O'Leary said while he was happy with two finals wins in one day, it was disappointed for the reserve-grade side to go down.
"The playoff on Wednesday night took its toll in the last 20 minutes when we conceded three tries,” he said.
Props Lachlan Palmer and Lindsay Power was strong in the middle for Warwick and centre Sean Perrin played well out wide.
Warwick outside back Alex Stewart was taken to hospital with a neck injury but was expecting to be released from hospital this afternoon
The Cowboys have up to three weeks of footy left with finals matches in under-18 and second division then the focus will move to the Cowboys trophy night on September 9 and the annual rodeo on September 23.
