High tea to raise funds for Greenlands P & C
Pull out your best dress and show your support at the Greenlands State School P & C Melbourne Cup high tea fundraiser.
The funds raised at the event will go towards supporting both the school and the children at Greenlands State School.
Greenlands State School P & C secretary Mariel Thompson explained it is one of their major fundraisers for the year.
“The money that we raise goes towards resources, excursions, staffing and different external expenses for various children,” Mariel said.
The P & C also raise funds to support families in providing children with all the required resources needed daily at school.
Guests of the fundraiser can expect a delicious three course high tea, lucky door prizes, a multi-draw raffle, full bar and a fashion parade from Gracious Giving.
Mariel explained their will be lots of prizes to give away at the fundraiser, what was a generous donation from local businesses showing their support and donating prizes for the event.
Prizes will be awarded for best dressed as well as best headwear.
The $50 ticket will also include a glass of champagne on arrival.
“We are looking forward to everyone coming along and celebrating a great day full of fashion, fun, food and racing,” Mariel added.
The fundraiser will be held on Tuesday November 5, from 11pm to 3pm, at the Queensland College of Wine and Tourism.
