Jazz up your weekend with wine, music and donations
THE ever popular Jingle Bell Jazz event is back by demand, now in its fifth year.
A mainstay on the local calendar, the event, hosted by Heritage Estate Wines, will be held this Sunday, December 8.
“What can we do when we’ve got the dry ole droughty blues? Well, for starters, we can still dance and sing and celebrate life – and we can donate to our fire brigades,” Teri Welles, vocalist with jazz band Jazzify said.
Jazzify will present an entertaining afternoon of wine, music and song at Heritage Estate from noon-4pm.
“We haven’t played in Stanthorpe for a few months so we’re really looking forward to being back at our favourite venue for some end-of-year cheer,” Ms Welles said.
“As well as some uplifting live music, there will be dancing, a Christmas carol singalong, plus special guests and some silly fun. Come join us. It’s no fun without you.
“With so many massive fires across our state and other states, we’ve been feeling so very thankful for the amazing job our fire brigades are doing to help keep us safe in horrendous conditions.
“Resources must be getting quite stretched, so Jazzify will be making a donation from the entry fees to the Rural Fire Service.
“It may only be a drop in the brigade bucket in preparation for the crazy weather ahead, but every little bit helps,” Ms Welles said.
Bookings are preferred for catering. Phone 4685 2197. Entry is $20 cash at the door with wine, food and coffee available.
