ELLICE Buchs and Benjamin Rudd had the time of their lives when they tied the knot at The Teale Homestead at The Summit.

It was raining on the day which was a bit disheartening at first, Ellice said, but soon the weather was forgotten and Ellice and Benjamin just enjoyed their wedding day.

"When it came to walking down the aisle though - which turned into walking upstairs to the undercover veranda - I was so excited I didn't even notice the rain,” Ellice said.

"Apparently the boys were standing all ready under the gazebo and looking at the radar and couldn't decide what to do. Eventually Ben's groomsman Leslie Rudd made the decision to move all 73 guests under the veranda at the homestead.

"We were on our way in the cars during the move so the driver got a call and we made a detour.”

But despite the rain, Ellice said it was a perfectly magical experience for the couple.

"The ceremony was so special and intimate with all our loved ones so close around us,” she said.

"Our bridal party looked absolutely amazing.”

Ellice and Benjamin chose photographer April from Must be April Photography to capture moments of their perfect day.

"She did a marvellous job and took advantage of the clean, crisp greenery in the gardens freshly washed by the rain,” Ellice said.

The Dalveen hall proved to be a fantastic reception location.

"With the bar and kitchen and plenty of space, it made the perfect country, rustic atmosphere,” Ellice said.

"Peta Murphy from Warwick Weddings and Events helped to create a truly stunning reception.

"Our caterers were Tony and Kellie Calvisi of Toowoomba. The crispy creme doughnuts on our cake tower were a huge hit for our guests.

"Georgia Marcus, who originated in Stanthorpe, entertained our guests while we had photos done, and after dinner the party really got started when Dynamic Duo started playing.”

Ellice and Benjamin would like to express their gratitude to everyone who shared their special day.

"It was a humbling experience to have everyone there showing their support and love,” Ellice said.

"To all the vendors and services who made everything run so smoothly and all the advice they gave along the way, we thank you very much as well.”
