Stanthorpe State Primary School leaders inducted

LAST week our 2018 school and house captains and senior leaders were inducted and awarded their badges and certificates by Cr Marika McNichol in a ceremony attended by parents and family members.

Our seniors are very excited for their final year of primary school.

Our staff and students welcomed His Excellency the Governor Paul de Jersey to our school on March 2.

His Excellency presented our students with the Borobi Boogie prize, a Commonwealth Games dance competition our students won last year.

Welcome to our new teachers

WE ARE pleased to welcome four new teachers to our school this year.

Miss Mitchener, our new Prep teacher, has settled in well with the Preppies and is looking forward to a fun-filled year of learning.

Mr and Mrs Lee are teaching Year 3/4, and fulfilling a dream to teach in a rural setting and sharing their love of sports with the children.

Mr Smith has come from Ipswich to commence his career in teaching Year 5/6. Mr Smith is also a keen sportsman, playing and refereeing Aussie Rules.

Greatest Shave

WELL, the hair was long and the beards were prepped as time approached for it all to be taken off.

Mrs Pozzi, Miss Radunz, Mr Anderson, Miss Smith, Miss Amanda, Miss Heading and Mrs Aldridge gave up their locks for the Leukaemia Foundation's World Greatest Shave.

You can donate to the fundraising efforts of these brave and caring people at http://my.leukaemiafoundation.org.au/stanthorpestateschoolshavers.
